GREE VR Studio Laboratory主催の「VTech Challenge 2020」に出展したプロジェクトです．
東京大学 割澤・福井・米谷研究室では，2020年に流行した新型コロナウイルス感染症の防止のため，研究室の紹介をオンラインで行いました．オンラインでも臨場感のある展示・質の高いコミュニケーションを実現するために，ソーシャルVRプラットフォームであるMozilla Hubsを活用したバーチャル展示室を制作しました．
展示室にはポスター・動画・3Dモデルが展示されており，来場者はアバターとなって自由に見て回ることができます．3Dキャラクターの操作に慣れていない方でも楽しめるよう，展示室の形状や案内の配置を工夫しました．
Hubsには画像や動画などの資料を自由にアップロードして展示できますが，多くの資料を設置したり，後から差し替えたりするには手間がかかります．そこで，Googleスプレッドシートに書かれたURLを編集するだけで資料を差し替えできるWeb APIを制作しました．このAPIは，Hubsからのアクセスに対して，最新のURLへの302リダイレクトで応答します．Hubsには事前に決めた固定URLを貼り付けるだけでよく，資料を一度配置すれば簡単にその内容だけを変更できます．

Human & Environment Informatics Lab., the University of Tokyo conducted an online open day to prevent COVID-19 infection in 2020. We have created a "virtual" exhibition room using Mozilla Hubs, which is a social VR platform, in order to realize realistic exhibitions and high quality online communication.
Posters, videos, and 3D models are displayed in the exhibition room, and visitors can freely explore the room by their avatar. We designed the shape of the room and the layout of the sign system so that even those who are not used to controlling 3D avatars can enjoy our exhibition.
We can upload and display images, videos, and other files to Mozilla Hubs. However, it takes time to set up a lot of files and to replace them later. I created a web API that allows us to replace the files by simply edition the URLs in Google Sheets. This API responds to accesses from Hubs with 302 redirects to the latest URLs, which can be easily modified in the Google Sheets.
